Missing Trades - Part 1: DMRHas2

Since I missed so many Tuesday Trades posts in the missing month I decided to do a series of the missing trades. Just to clarify, I got what I wanted in the trades and the shops I traded with got what they wanted...the missing part is just that I did not post them yet!

Okay, on to Missing Trades - Part 1

November was a great month for trades! I did sooo many! One of the cool trades, and the first of its kind was with DMRHas2. The reason it is the first of its kind is because I did not trade my jewelry for the items I got from this shop! No, indeed. I traded her some of my supplies that I did not think I would use. It was a great trade all around though.

I got these awesome little guys from her! Aren't they adorable!

Cutest little owl charms ever! I love them so much...I cannot bear to use them! I could bear to get rid of these though:

The metal beads is what she wanted. They were huge! Not really my style at all. I mean, what was I ever going to do with those?

Stay tuned, more missing trades to come!

Lyn & Lee

Hey everybody! I am super excited to tell you about this shop! Because it’s awesome!!

Cassandra is the gal behind LynandLee. LynandLee is a great shop featuring tons of lovely jewelry. Take a look at this necklace:

Ice Flake Quartz, Tourmalinated Quartz and Peach Quartz Semi Precious Woven Necklace
And this one:
Charming Purple Aventurine, Cream Quartz and Green Aventurine Woven Semi Precious Necklace

Aren't they great! I just love her work! The gemstones look so lovely.

How did Lyn & Lee get started? Cassandra had a love of sparkly things just like I do and that evolved into jewelry making. Kinda like me too. We actually have a lot in common. How cool is that?!

She loves life and is super excited about everything! She can tom-boy it up or glam it up! Cassandra is great and so it her jewelry.  Read more about her and her shop here.

And don’t forget to like Lyn & Lee on Facebook.

Follower her on Twitter.

Read her Blog.

Find her on Pinterest:

I just love the way that Cassandra mixes metal and stone to create such a feminine design. Let me tell you! That is talent. She collects traditionally cold things and creates a warm piece of jewelry that shows great body and soul. Her designs are timeless, rugged, pretty, and classic all at the same time.

LillaStjarna

This fine day, I would like to tell you about a fun jewelry shop on Etsy. LillaStjarna was started just a few months ago by Laila. The name of the shop LillaStjarna (Icelandic for “bits of stars”) came from a night of inspiration and looking at the stars.

Here are some of my favorite pieces!

I love how delicate and feminine Laila’s work is. Her color choices and material selections are amazing.

If you follow her on Facebook and then send her an Etsy convo, she will send you a discount code for her shop. How great is that? Especially with Christmas coming!

You can find her on Etsy as well as the following places on the interwebs:

Number 7: Letters from friends.

I love writing letters, but it is even better to receive them! I have always liked to write letters. Thank yous are  fun to write and I have been writing them for ages. I am not sure why I like to write...maybe it has something to do with my love for paper and stationary, but who can say?

I have a few close friends that I like to write to. Some of them are awesome at writing back super fast, others take their time. Either way, I love to get the letters they write.

Letters are more important than text messages and e-mails. Letters take more thought, more planning, more consideration. Letters offer the reader a bit of the real feelings of the reader. Letters offer more honesty. Actually writing the words offers the writer the opportunity to take time out of the busyness of life and to put down in words what the writers thoughts are at that point in time. Letters are lovely.

Some letters I got this summer were full of good news which buoyed up my spirits. Others where written with heavy hearts - these challenged me to help as best I could. Some of the letters were encouraging and some were just newsy. No matter what the letter said on the page they all told me that letter writing is not a lost art.

Oh! And I cannot forget about the letters from Jake! I was really bad at writing regularly to Jake while he was at bootcamp, but he wrote faithfully to his family with whom I was staying. Jake's letters where awesome! They were full of all kinds of news. Like what physical challenges he had completed and was looking forward to doing. He wrote about his friends he was making and the things they had in common. He wrote about his walk with Christ and his desire to be baptized once he got home. His letters encouraged those it was written to and was read with tears in the eyes of the reader more than once.

Letters are lovely.

Tuesday Trades - KimCreative

Now that I am back on track, I am going to stay there! Today's trade happened during the November Trade Frenzy!

I traded with Kim from KimCreative for this great bracelet! It was kinda funny though because the package actually got lost in the mail! I have never had this happen before and was surprised. Both Kim and I ended up filing a complaint and within a week they miraculously "found" the package and sent it on to me. So I got the package after Christmas, which was okay because the bracelet was for me!

What did I make for Kim? Well, let me tell you! I was going to do another trade with a girl, but we haven't done it yet...anyway, she wanted me to make some dread beads. I had no idea what they were or how to make them, but she told me that they are beads you put on dreadlocks. I am not even kidding you. you can get bling for your dreadlocks and I know how to make them! So I had them in the shop and Kim asked if I could make her some. Here is what I made:

Pretty cool huh? Makes me want to try having dreadlocks...well maybe one...just for fun. Then again...maybe not. What are your thoughts?

Missing Trades - Part 7: CleariqueBoutique

This is the last missing trades post! I am finally caught up! Hurrah! Yippy Skippy! I am so glad that I caught up!

This trade was wit ha girl named Shealyn and her shop CleariqueBoutique. Shealyn does all kinds of amazing things and sells them in her shop, but I really needed some of the fair clips like we gave away last year!

So here is what I got! 5 amazing clips! I got pink, white, purple, blue with a feather, and another white one!

I really love them and wear them often because they make me happy! Shealyn asked me to make a bracelet especially for her! It was a blast to make and turned out pretty cute.

Well, that is all for now! Done with Missing Trade posts, but I still have more trade stories to share. Don't worry about that!

Missing Trades - Part 6: eruckman

Last autumn I did a really fun trade with Erica from eruckman. Erica does amazing hand stamped jewelry as you may remember from this post.

This time I got a really cool Christmas present for my Grandpa! It is just adorable and so him.

It is a perfect gift for him because he spends every summer in his camper. He just loves spending time in the wild by the pond and this key chain fob just reminded me of him so much!

Erica chose two sets of earrings from me. One for herself, and one for a friend for Christmas!

And that is not all! I still have one more missing trade's post to write before I am officially caught up!

April the Missing Month...Part 2
Missing Trades - Part 1

As I said before, November was an awesome month for trades! I am a member of a few different teams on Etsy and one of them was a team for noobs. That team had a trade day in November too and this is the story all about that trade!

Starla from StarflyCreations does amazing stationary. She does really cool cut paper cards and even does custom  silhouettes ! This is what I got from Starla!

Aren't they adorable?! The little squirrel card is a mini card, under 3 inches. Starla got these cute earrings from me:

More to come!

April the Missing Month...Part 2

So, it appears that I never blog in the month of April. I am not sure why this happens. Maybe it has to do with all of the family birthday's being in April. Maybe I am just tiered by then. Maybe I just get extra lazy in April. I don't know.

I have a bunch of Tuesday Trades to share. I have a whole list that I was going to do in April. See, I had it all planned and on the calender and I still didn't do it! My apologies to you all! I am so sorry. I plan to catch up really soon and let you know everything that is happening in my life!

To show you that I really do mean it, here is a trade story that I meant to post last month...

Back in November, I did a trade with Julie from Bohtieque! Julie makes awesome labels and I was lucky enough to get these from her:

Mine, of course, have my address and name on them. I really love them so much! I will hate to use them up.

Now, what did Julie get from me? Let me think about it....Oh yeah! She got a bracelet for her little daughter! Here it is:

See, I really do plan to write more blog posts and to catch up!

Trade - Scarved

Hey guys! Sorry this is a little late this week. I don't even have any excuses! Anyway, on to the trade!!

Last November, as I was frantically trading for Christmas gifts, I did a trade with Allisa from an Etsy shop called Scarved. Unfortunately, the shop does not exist anymore and neither does Allissa's profile! So, no real back story this time. :(

I got this great scarf and gave it to a friend for Christmas!

Since you cannot look at her shop, I decided  to post her description of the item here:
Here is a beautiful burgandy and cream stretchy scarf for your spring or summer fashion! It's as light as air and can be your scarf, neck tissue, cowl, necktie, belt, headband, you name it! If you tie the ends, it can be a stylish loop scarf or wear it as a shawl for your next special occasion.

The scarf is made of and sheer polyester knit and it's light as air so you won't feel too hot. You'll love the natural crinkle of this fabric for texture!

It has a raw hem and measures 70" X 13" long while crinkled.
Now, I can show you what she got from me!

That's all for now! Go enjoy the lovely weather!!

You might remember that I told you about a a trade I did with an Etsy shop called DHElegance. Well, I have done another trade with Donna.

I got another great ring from her! See how pretty it is?

This is what she got from me.

Well, that's all for now!

And this is what Lori got from me!

Spring Break Trade - jenuinecrafts

Last October, I did a great trade with Jen from JenuineCrafts! Jen makes all kinds of goodies, but I was interested in her handmade tags. As an Etsy seller, packaging is really important. When someone buys (or trades for) one of my items I want them to open the package and think that it is Christmas! Good packaging goes a long way toward making that happen. Little boxes, organza bags, ribbons, and tags help me make my items more like a gift rather than a purchase. Anyway, I got several sets of tags from Jen. Here they are:

Aren't they adorable?! I just love them all! Now might be the time to tell you that I am not only addicted to beads and jewelry, but also to paper and paper crafts. Sigh.

Anyway, I suppose you might be wondering what Jen got from me! Well here it is!

That is all for this trade, but I do need to say that last weekend was a trade even and I did 18 more trades! I may have to change this to twice a week, just to keep up!
