Today I want to introduce you to Esther Lee of Eugene, Oregon! Esther is the wonderful lady behind MermaidsGems which is a fantastic Etsy shop full of beads!! My favorite Etsy Bead shop :D Well, Esther and I made a trade over a month ago and we were both extremely pleased! Here is what I got:

Treasures of the Earth...Bead Show

Today I went to a bead show.

It was at the state fairgrounds.

I bought a bunch of beads.

I got some fun candy color triangle beads.

 I got tiny pearls that are so small I am not sure I can get a needle through!

I got some great drop pearls.

I had a nice time. 

It was nice to go somewhere for a change.

I only got to be at the show for an hour, but that is okay.

Beads are so nice.

I posted both of these pieces today! Necklace and matching bracelet. I designed both and was thrilled when I was finished. I was so surprised that it came out so well!

Also! I was really excited to be featured in an Etsy treasury today! How cool is that!!

Birthday Loot!

Well, I had a birthday earlier this month and I got some wonderful presents!! I just have to share some pictures of them with you! I also got a sweet new camera (it's pink!), but did not take a picture of it...hehehe!

Mom borrowed one of my jewelry boxes to put some beads in that she got at the yard sale.

My sister made the most delicious Chocolate Pavlova with fresh, hand whipped cream and fresh raspberries; plus Raspberry Sorbet! It was amazing!

My sister also decided to make me a series of headbands/fascinators. This one is made of pom-poms.

I got this awesome vintage party tray set from my Aunt Becky! It is so cool and came in it's original box! 4 Trays, 4 Cups, and 4 Glasses! They used to use these before they had paper plates, but they are not disposable. They are made of glass and I love them so much!

It was the best birthday ever! Full of surprises and delights, just the way I would want it!

April...The Missing Month

Last month, I was really busy. Not only was on working on a graduate level marketing project, but I was really, really crafty! I completely finished  those awesome clay peices I made earlier this year.

I got a book from the library and loved it so much I had to buy it....and make almost everything in it!!!!!!

I had to buy some new beads...well, technically not beads, they don't have holes.

Then I had to buy settings for the stones I bought!

 Then I got to make stuff!

 You might know that I got into doing surveys online a couple of years ago. Well, I joined a new website...http://www.focuslinesurveys.com/....And the surveys on there actually add up to real money. Once you have accumulated $25 you can "cash out" and order a gift card. It only took me about 2 months for my first gift card and I almost have enough for another one! I got an Amazon.com gift card for $25! So, knowing me, what would I buy? Pink shoes of course!!!
