Speaking of YouTube...

I just found this and I have to share it with everyone!!! I love Mega 64! They are so awesome!!

My AWESOME Little Sister!!

Oh, I miss my little sister! :( I miss her a lot. It is so hard to be away from home after a nice time over Thanksgiving break. But here I am, back at school and I plan to make the best of it. My sister, who, if you didn't know, is a baking and pastry arts major in Indiana, sent me an e-mail today in which I found some great inspiration for a new jewelry line!! Her is what she sent me:
It is for sale at Etsy.com! Isn't it great?! On further research I also found these little beauties!
My sister thinks I should make an some for her and that got me thinking...why not do an entire line of kitchen jewelry?! It would be so cool! My sister is a great supporter of my addiction to beading and jewelry (well, crafting in general!). She offered to sell them to her classmates! She's so great!

And now for something completely different...a nice Youtube video to make your Monday way better!

The day before Thanksgiving Day!

Oh! Today was a fun day!I got to make some awesome Cake Pops with my sister! Here are a few pictures!
We made a ton of them!
Isn't it cute!!!!
While we were not making these sweet little cake pops we watched a couple of movies and I made some rings while I watched. Here are the rings:
This one was commissioned by Katelynn.

Another one for Katelynn.

This is one that Casey ordered.

This is just one that I made for myself!

Can you tell I love pink?!
So that was my day before Thanksgiving Day. It was pretty good. It is so nice to be home and be able to create! :D

Back to Jewelry

It is kinda funny. I thought I would only use this blog to talk about jewelry and well, that really has not been the case. I have been talking about friends, home, and life in general. Well, the time has come to talk about jewelry! While my grandma was here, she and my mom were talking about this new kind of bead called Mirage Mood Beads. These beads are really cool!
The beads come in all kinds of shapes and sizes.
They change color based on temperature. They start out black when they are cold then go to bright purple when they are warmest.
This is the kind my grandma had as earrings.
I think these are my favorite shape!
Here is a little something I found on Etsy.com you can buy it here:
Another cool thing I need to tell you guys is that I got an AWESOME ring for graduation from my mom and dad. Here is a lame picture...
Okay, I hope that is enough for now. Love you guys!!

Home for the Holiday

It is so wonderful to be home for Thanksgiving!! I just love being here with my lovely family. I really miss them when I'm at school. It is nice to spend time with them, eating good food, playing games, and getting to know them all over again. I love it!

Friends

So, I was talked into this whole blogging thing by my three of my friends. And I want to introduce you to all of the blogs I follow, as of right now.

First, I want to tell you about Hannah Gregus. This girl is amazing!

Another fabulous person you need to know about is Katie Pick! This girl is so cool! I am super proud of her. Katie is an amazing author and I know that we will hear about her in the future. I have been reading her latest book and it is so great! Oh, and I made her jewelry for her prom:
I still have more friends to introduce you too and the next one is Casey Johnson. She is a great friend and a wonderful journalist. You should check out her blog!! Do IT!
hummm...I don't have an good pictures of her...so, instead of being a mean person and posting a picture of when she got her nose pierced...I just will not post a picture at all :(
hehehe....Casey was really sad that I did not have a picture of her. So, she sent me one and here it is, just for you!

The next friend you need to meet is Katelynn Mayhew! She is just about the best friend I have here at school! I do not think she will mind if I post this picture of us, so here it is!

This was the result of our mud fight last year!

In The Beginning...

Well, here is my first post on my first blog ever! How crazy am I anyway?! Just like everyone else, I plan to post often and have epic posts, but I am afraid that I will not keep up with it. I hereby promise to think about my blog on occasion. There! I officially promised you, dearest reader, absolutely nothing!

I plan to share my newly created jewelry, my cool designs, other neat blog posts I discover, videos pictures, and some recipes. It's going to be so great. I have never done this before so it will be interesting.

I have been making jewelry for the past sixteen years. Yeah, I was a baby when I started. My first jewelry project was doing the daisy chain stitch. As I got older I became more and more interested in jewelry. I started to branch out and now I can do all kinds of stuff! I love jewelry. It is just so much fun to make and wear. I am a firm believer that we should wear awesome jewelry to the grocery store. And I would love it if we can bring back the tiara as it was originally worn. Tiaras are for anytime you dress up for a party. I just love it! Jewelry, Jewelry, Jewelry! Rings! Necklaces! Bracelets! Tiaras! Earrings! Everything is so cool.
This is a bracelet I made as a response to reading J. D. Salinger's Catcher in the Rye...there was a section in the book where the protagonist meets a woman who he says is "lousy with rocks."
